I do not know what swing position trading is. Could you help me out on this one.

For the moment I am talking about finding a way to deal with the speculative portion of a portfolio. Perhaps one trade per day or one trade per week. Before I would want to move long term assets I would want to test the waters first in my area of weakness. The idea of putting some money in the market and removing it the same day has some appeal to me but I have not been able to figure out a way to do it yet.

More than day trading I believe I am talking about short term trading. If I invest in a speculative play and she moves up I would like to hold on for awhile and ride her up. What I need to do is protect the play from a move down.

Are you saying that if I can not watch the market throughout the day ( I have a full time job) my investments should be limited to mutual funds and some blue chips?

Thanks
