Steve, I hope I am not being redundant but I still do not have a handle on what Yanmer can or can not do for me.

I like to make my own investment decisions (percentage funds in mutuals, bonds, stocks, speculation etc). Although I wouldn't mind having someone to bounce ideas off or give me suggestions.

My investments are spread between two online brokers, a full service broker and two mutual fund firms and a couple of banks and retirement plans.

My weakness is the short term stuff. Daytrading, short term trading ...position/swing? trading. I have not had much luck with the online brokers. I will not trade with a high commission broker. I am forced to use limit orders as I do not have access to the Internet during market hours ( I have a full time job and there is NO time match). If I guess wrong on a limit order I fail to get in or out of the market completely. I also do not want to place market orders for the open.

I believe I would have more success with the short term trades if I could get closer to the market during the day. The only link that I see is the cell phone and a broker/trader. The question focuses on what type of relationship this would be.

Is Yanmar the right place to look for this kind of service? I would be willing to move some of the other accounts to Yanmar but I would want to see if it fits the bill for the short term trading for which I have not yet found a solution before consolidating the accounts. ie a trial run with $10,000 to $20,000 first.

I do not know what my options would be. Would Yanmar provide me with something other than strictly acting as the trader? That would not do me much good as I would be operating in the dark. Is there a way to send email alerts or? stock recs to a cell phone? What size account would be an appropriate entry level?

This question is addressed to the 20 percent +/- portion of a portfolio that falls in the "fun" category. I do not want to wait until I retire for dynamic access to the market.

Thanks for your input, I have followed your posts since before your thread ( S3 days).
