you bring up valid points. however, you don't need to use amzn's site. just buy the book from cmp. the net reduces friction. the bookstore busainess on the net is already crowded and amzn is still losing millions.

Another side of your arguement:

Most of people like to browse at least a few pages of a book first before buying. How would you think that people browse some books at a book store and go back home ordering them from AMZN (cmpexpress for that arguement), wait for a few days and save a lousy 10% (after tax, handling etc.)?

I think the bloodshed in Internet stocks are just starting. There's much more room to drop:
