Teddy, Agreed on Central Asia. The consultant's report quoted here a couple of days ago that the Trans-Caspian Pipeline may or may not be built is way off the mark. It will be built... However note that for services companies, the local governments at least for seismic operations like to run their own very old equipment. As for drilling well servicing activities you will face similar problems intially. However the number of concessions signed both on and off shore in Central Asia over the last couple of years will require significant oilfield service support- so don't be surprised when American companies start moving into and working both on and offshore (Caspian Sea) Central Asia....
