(You knew I couldn't pass on this release). The strategy behind these press releases continues to elude me, and I consider myself a fan of the IFMX products and new management (to a point). Why in the world would you put out a press release that in essence says: 1) We bought the product 3 years ago, (so we are not a new customer.) 2) We bought some more (so what's the big news). 3) We bought OLD technology. 4GL, DSA. (What's the added-value? None of this differentiates IFMX in any way and even pushes harder the idea that they don't know how to define their value.) 4) We bought into a 3 year contract. (On the surface, this looks like what IFMX says they DON'T want to do. I emphasize the "on the surface" part) Come on Dan (Leighton). Show us your added-value. Show me why this is important and why Oracle/Sybase/MSFT/Progress/CA/etc could not do this. I know new wins can't be announced yet or even key wins from last quarter, but why oh why is this of any significance? "Where's the beef?" Off my soapbox now.
