Don't you recall a while back during AOL's big outage that one of Cisco's erstwhile competitor's claimed it was Cisco's fault?

It was later revealed that AOL technicians had botched things up while doing routine maintenance.

Things could be similar here.

While I can't speak for others, as an ISP I can say that as far as we are concerned, this lesson serves as an important reminder of the value of resilient network design - nothing more.

We are a Cisco Powered Network and having just stepped out of a meeting with our Cisco rep's this morning, I am more confident than ever of the company and our relationship with them.

'nuf said.
