>>40MB is only enough space to store just a couple of acceptable quality photos. (15MB or larger per
photo to approach 35mm Quality).<<

This is misleading. Most people are quite satisfied with pictures in the 1-2M pixel range. This gives a raw size of 3-6MB, so Clik! can hold 10 high quality, uncompressed pictures. Of course, compression of at least 4:1 is acceptable, so for typical use Clik! should hold about the same number of pictures as a 36 picture roll of film. This allows for significantly higher quality (keeping the number of pictures per media constant) than any consumer digital camera currently available.

Rocky, resolution is variable and even if we assume the need for 35mm quality, rom-based compression could easily be incorporated which would allow for the storage of dozens of photos on one reusable Click! disk in standard formats. The specifications are impressive and the market for palm-size devices is just starting to roll. Wireless services are tragically slow and expensive, flash memories are just plain expensive and have insufficient capacity. I have to think this device is going to generate more revenue than all of the previous devices combined.

Rocky ,

Your Iom bashing has as much chance of success , due to the high volume , as a minnow would have in swimming upstream at the Niagara Falls .

Why don't you take your banter over to the thread we have provided for you . " Rocky's Personal Thread "
