**************OFF TOPIC**************

If the Home Depot in my area (Connecticut) is any indicator I would say the stock is a buy. The place is ALWAYS busy. I've been there early on Sunday mornings and the parking lot is almost full! With the prices of homes on the rise people seem to be fixing up & tinkering around.

As for Lucent, I know what you mean. I had the opportunity to buy (pre-split) in the $60's. Da-Oh!! Now I keep waiting for in to go down some. Not sure that is ever going to happen.

I like stocks like CPRD, CELL, PCMS, MAVK, VARL & EUSA based solely on their fundamentals & prospects.

IMO UTI is slowly raising its base level, each day nearing the 100 & 200 moving day average, while raising the 50 day higher. Breakout ? No, I see a slow progression upward, nothing to take action on if you are long and do not wish to trade on a daily basis.
Now as far as these big name companies are concerned. You can not bottom fish here, IMO. Meaning, with price levels so high, where is bottom ? (example ASND 80-23-42 currently: 23 was bottom, but 42 bottom? maybe, but very easily will tank with a bad market day). UTI on the other hand at 12 1/2, it was going nowhere regardless of the overall market. You must buy these big boys on bad news, like INTC, and hold them long, very long, for eventual climbs. they are easy stocks to play, but excellent entry points come with Bad news and Market corrections.
