Personally, I've been investing in a gold mutual fund, symbol LEXMX.
That's Lexington's gold fund. They're pretty well diversified worldwide. I've been buying since it was below 3, it closed yesterday at 3.83. The Philadelphia gold and silver symbol is XAU. LEXMX correlates with it fairly well, but I don't think LEXMX has much if any silver interest. There's a couple of gold threads here if you want to go into specific stocks, but I don't have time to do that. It takes me all my time to keep up with my other stocks, so I allow myself the luxury of owning this one mutual fund. Hope that helps a little.

ABX, Rudy. Peter Munk probably never gives a thought to his shareholders,but he is the smartest manager in the gold business. Compare his chart to the price of gold over the last 5 years.

Better yet, compare ABX vs Homestake (HM), which is often regarded as an industry bellwether.
