Tony, "Besides, don't you think they have orders/forecasts for a product before they make such a statement as Barrett did?"

Yes, Barrett made the case for fundamental growth. I think the man knows his business and knows his market. I also agree that he is more likely than not to understate the rosy forecast.

OTH, Kurlak has a huge following and he can not reverse himself without some good rationale - otherwise he will lose credibility. His reputation is on the line.

For Kurlak to come out with a statement to the contrary - he would in effect be telling the world that he (kurlak) knows this business better than the man who has been selected to run it.

What will Kurlak do? I believe he will maintain his bearish stand on the semiconductor industry and he will try to bring it down through innuendo. His PR people will reiterate some of his past bearish musings - but will somehow fudge it as to whether the musings were being reiterated or if they were words that just happened to resurface.

Kurlak's presence is still being felt. The man is not going away this easily.

Regards,

Mary Cluney
