Ramsey, I think you are right longer term, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit to see the stock drift lower short term. The hoped for post earnings pop simply didn't happen, and the market right now is real high on performing techs.

Exogenous issues, over which Qcom had no control (but perhaps could have done a better job of predicting a bit earlier -- Korea -- ) were mitigated. Issues which are entirely management's responsibility -- manufacturing execution -- cropped up instead. Doesn't bode well near term.

And I also think they should be pushing REAL hard to have an excellent dual mode Q phone available ASAP and am a bit disappointed its been so continually pushed out.

Great design engieering is one thing. (And perhaps what this thread almost exclusively tends to focus on.) Execution has got to be there as well. Unless Qcom wants to adopt a Rambus IT licensing model, with a greatly diminished cost structure to go with it. Don't get me wrong. I think they'll do it. But there HAVE been a lot of stumbles.

And yes, I did blow out most of my Friday position this A.M. We shall see. Hoping for a better opportunity. And expecting one. We shall see.

I'm not basically a trader but this issue just begs for some of it, seems to me. Such a yo-yo.
