Dear Jane:

I have an OTCL and a Lucent right now myself so I know what you mean; but I am firmly convinced that the Lord is using that to place a greater reliance on him.

As you know I am in the carpet business. Several years ago I noticed a pattern developing. Every time I relied on the tag that I used to keep track of the size of a roll with I was 2 or 3 feet short. It really cost me a lot of money. So I thought to myself, I'll just use my judgement to guess at the size of a roll and do better. So when someone would pick out a roll and needed 30 feet, for example, I would pull out the roll and measure it and not rely on the tag. If I had enough on the roll I would praise God for it.

Well, when someone really wants a particular carpet and you take the trouble to measure the roll and then don't have it you will usually lose the sale. This is incredible; in 3 years I have never lost a sale for that reason. Every time I pull out a roll to measure it I have enough on the roll to do the job, glory to God. The Lord has saved me thousands of dollars that way.

I had one lady that was in love with this pink carpet and I was 1 foot short any way you cut it ( no pun intended ). After several hours of working with her I suggested we take a piece of waste off the bath linoleum and put it in the closet. She stated she would rather have the linoleum in the closet and it saved the sale.

Our God is sufficient and he proves it to us every day. In Christ gregor
