Scumbria,

Hello, earth to Scumbria.. are you there????

We have all (most of us on this thread) invested in Cyrix for at least 1.5 years. I think we have the right to be a little pissed off at the complete and total lack of movement on NSM's part.

You don't see how anyone will be able to compete against it?.. that's like saying 5 years ago "I don't know how anyone will be able to compete with a 486". It will happen.. especially if it starts to make money.

The problem is the TIME FRAME. Everytime we see a roadmap it gets further and further out.. don't you see it???

With Cyrix being acquired by NSM, all the focus has been lost. There is no clear path anymore. One day "no more socket 7" the next day "Slot 1" the next day "socket 7 till mid 99".. which one is it going to be. They have no FOCUS.. lack of FOCUS = lack of DIRECTION. Lack of DIRECTION = lots of $$ and lots of time spent going in circles.. that's not how you grow.

Steve

Scumbria - Re: "Cost reduction will undoubtably help the bottom line for future quarters"

When Intel announced a 4% reduction in force via attrition, you said they were in deep sh*t.

Now NSM is LAYING OFF 10% of their people and it is a welcome "Cost Reduction"!

Nice spin - hope you feel richer with that little interpretation.
