Bill, I think the precise period (number of days before and after earnings) is determined by the company, not specific regulations. I can't remember who told me this though, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

PS: Mr. Softie came in at 50 cents, top of estimate range (consensus was 48 cents) and up 25% from last year. Anybody seen after hours trading?
