My sentimental favorite is the Utah Jazz. But I think Seattle will finally make it to the finals.

Zips are becoming a necessity for students because lots of their homework is done on computers. If you ever have to store your school records (spreadsheet, reports, etc), its much easier on a 100mb disk. Glad to hear that this trend still continues for zip in educational market.

I heard that one big consulting company in the US had standardized on the LS120, because of the floppy compatibility. A couple of friends who work for them were unhappy because it wasn't zip. They had zip on their home computers, and rolled their eyes at the IT dept.

The more I think about the SparQ and Orb, the more I don't believe that they will impact Zip sales very much. I believe that the need for lots of disks, outweigh the need for lots of storage.

So, 2 gig at $29 is too big. while 1 gig block at $59 for 10 disks is just fine. Thus, I think the Orb is ahead of its time, and way too ahead in terms of $/gig cost reduction.

It certainly will put pressure on the ENTIRE disk drive industry...

Syquest is trying to qualify HMTT as a SparQ disk producer. HMTT is the Jaz disk sole source.
