How can business slow down in the 2nd half of 1998 when they plan to release window98?

Sales may pick up, but remember that MSFT spent $600 million on advertising and promotions when Win95 was introduced, and that wasn't made up in sales in one quarter. My guess is that they plan on also promoting Win98 pretty heavily, $ wise.

Cause you don't need Windows '98, just like the slow down Intel has experienced all this last year because you don't need more than a 166mhz PC, but now Intel is coming round because you will need the faster PC but its time for MSFT to cool down. Nothing goes straight up forever.
