I would never have insinuated that you were telling tales, but
had not heard of any split. PLUS, I remember, and even partook
of the discussion of split-induced rises on the Coherent thread.

Your broker is irresponsible for spreading this rumor and incompetent for believing it. If he knew anything about INTC he would know that Intel does not split their stock in this price range. Tell your broker he should wait until the stock is in the 110-120 range before believing a split is coming.
