I think the market will start retreating tomorrow afternoon or on Friday. All the earning news, no matter bad or good, has driven the market to an unbelievable high. From Friday, no more news to do trick and it's going to be hard to drive the market any higher without any news. It's time to take profit!!! Peter, get a grip with the gloom and doom. Put that cash to work now. In 6 months we'll be talking about correcting down to 9100. If interest rates remain low and inflation in check there will be no significant correction. Asia will work itself out and provide a boost to earnings 6-12 months out. Corporate spending on technology shows no sign of letting up. The PC makers seem to have already corrected (I guess we both just missed it). No more news? Hah. What about the next big merger/contract/layoff/etc. IMO taking profits now on good companies is not in ones best interest. Now, if you have internet stock profits (still a sore subject with me), takem now, and move to quality; ASND, CSCO, INTC, etc. Good luck.
