Francis, re: >>>U.S. computer-chip giant Intel Corp said on Wednesday that it saw business ''strengthening'' in Asia and that robust growth in China's personal computer market and Taiwan's advanced technology would boost Intel's growth. . . . . .Asia-Pacific general manager John Davies said in Taipei that Intel sales in 14 Asian countries, excluding Japan, would remain strong despite nearly a year of regional financial turmoil.<<<

Asians are not going to let a little thing like turmoil in the financial markets to stall their modernization program - either on a personal level in educating their children or in more general ways to improve overall productivity.

It is really silly for those on this thread to insinuate that PC and or technology advances have peaked in some form or another. Their understanding of what's going on in the world is so very limited.
