Hmmm, except that in the meantime loads more share options (say 8-10m) have been authorized, Del's been paid very nicely indeed, and 12m shares have been issued.

I'm with you, Neil. Sooner or later, all this dilution is going to start to catch up. Personally, I had thought the price paid for VSGN was too high but, what the hell, it's done, we'll get past it. But now the revenue numbers are less than impressive, the stock's price is reacting the way you'd expect it to, and no one is really sure any more how long this turnaround is going to take. 18 months ago, you could see a lot of future in Borland. Now, you can see a lot of future, but it seems to AT LEAST AS FAR in the future as it was 18 months ago (anyone follow me on this?). And, of course, I've seen some calls expire worthless that should have been in the money. Think I'll look around for a bit....

Neil:

Yup I agree. I feel your pain! C'est la vie...

Think about it this way if they dump the stock and IMO there is good chance that we are going down further n/t and i/t think about the run-ups from 6 to 9, 7 to 10, 8 to 12 etc etc. That's what I meant by "so we can start the cycle all over again". Now pre-earnings we will once again see the stock go "thump" and if one is brave or hopeful [or foolish] one buys diligently and then keeps one's fingers crossed for the earnings release.

The stock just lost a lot of credibility in the eyes of investors and traders (deja vu all over again.) I don't have a problem. Sometimes SH** happens. Still feel the long term is good - as I look into my crystal ball the horizon is now a bit more cloudy because of Japan etc. But still holding. Bought with very long term intentions and long term opinion or time frame have not changed.

Shane.
