Unearned revenue is revenue that doesn't result from operations. For example, appreciation in Apple and Real Networks stock prices. Earnings from revenue like that should give a P/E of 1. It's a nice little bonus, but it does nothing for you (it's not like you need the money) and is no indication of future growth one way or the other.
