VALUATION INFO: my initial draft of DELL came up with $56 per share. in my experience, i usually close in on the 80% solution with my first run. i still have many changes to make and more F/S (financial statement info) info. to review. everyone that has sent an e-mail to: dweiner@kpmg.com.pe will receive the spreadsheet at the end of next week. without audited financials, the spreadsheet will at best give us a range of reasonable prices based on sales forecasts. it will be a start and when we see 1Q 98, we will be able to fine-tune and not only tighten our range, but increase our confidence level in the arrived upon stock price. so, i will say no more until i release the results. my take on today: 1) we continue to be under accumulation 2) shorters seem to pulled their pants up and have left for now 3) $7 is a nice place to take-off from
