What is the lead product now for Seagate's high end? Would it be Cheetha's? How are Cheetha sales going?

<News of Seagate's regaining ground in the high end (with a possible surprise announcement in this segment) and whispers of an imminent release of a very low end drive (sub $100) will help it along as will new found gains in head manufacturing. >

Quantum has claimed 30% market share for 799 to 999 computers. They break out a sub 799 segment and say they are looking into a product. Where do you see this new sub $100 Seagate drive going? Is this really a market these guys even want to be in?

Would you say drive makers are dumping old inventory into the sub 1000 computer and will this eventually play out? For that matter, it would seem that the sub 1000 machines are a dump for everyone. Will they reach a point where there's nothing left to be dumped and then they'll have to purposely make something. I guess that's when Seagate's vertical manufacturing will come into play. You must feel they are the low cost winner?

Regards,

Mark
