Donald, Sorry, I checked out pretty early last night. I was raised in a VERY conservative congregation, so conservative that they have over the years built some very tall walls to the "outside" . And as such have not grown at all over the years. When I was little I remember that we could not even wear cross necklaces for fear of someone thinking we were "idol worshipping", you know? To this day(although I no longer worship with that congregation) I am very careful with what I see in "churches". People are IMO, very sincere in what they see, but I have a problem with everyone that sees a Jesus in a blanket, or on the wall, or in a tortilla chip!! I said all that to preface my next question about your artifacts, the ark and such. Do these play a part in your worship, or how are they treated? AND I MEAN NO DISRESPECT BY SAYING THAT!!! Back to Romans. couple of observations. Is it not funny that Paul had to write SO MANY words to convey a very simple message? He might have quit after verse 17: >>(Rom 1:16 NIV) I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. >>(Rom 1:17 NIV) For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." Is it not truly a simple and wonderful gospel that says ABRAHAM BELIEVED. By his faith in what God told him, we became a blessed people, through Jesus the Christ!!!!!!!!!!!! listen to the end of Romans 11: (Rom 11:33 NIV) Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! (Rom 11:34 NIV) "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" (Rom 11:35 NIV) "Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?" (Rom 11:36 NIV) For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. have a great day! dcf
