Front page of Houston Chronicle 4/22- "A New Area" Article notes local sales of Viagra are skyrocketing. Local doctors say phones ringing off the hook for prescriptions. Foreign travelers are staying over to go to doctor to get a script. No doubt this is a blockbuster! Often management needs time to consider whether to split - wait till thinks calm down. Thats probably what they will do. However, if they are truly marketers they will call for a stock split to get even more attention on their new drug. This would be one of the times when a stock split would generate shareholder value and not just an increase in shares outstanding. By the way, I believe the market swings are due in part to difficulty in valuing this drug. As its available now only in the US I think the potential value is only beginning to be recognized!
