It may be true.

It may not be true.

Do you want me to post the Media Articles from mid-1997 that ALSO CLAIMED HP was going to use the K6?

I think AMD is feeding Ashok Kumar - of "Pimper" Jaffray - some more "tips" who in turn is "leaking" the info to the media. That is MAD's way of running up the stock so they can peddle new their new stock and buy Jerry a new Limo for 1998.

Also looking closely at the K6 is Gateway 2000 Inc. (GTW), these same
sources say.

Starnge, I just saw the GTW CEO on CNBC and I didn't hear any mention of that. I may have missed it.

Greg,

Of course only analysts were quoted.

There has been no official statement from HP about the look of our product line (or at least the consumer line, where I work) for the coming months.

All that is known is what Intel said the other day, specifically that HP will be making Celeron-based machines, as will CPQ.

For now, anything you read is analyst speculation, and you won't get official confirmation or denial of it until the official announcements are made.
