LU acquired Yurie for $1B in cash.
LUCENT TECHNOLOGIES (down 3 to 70-3/8 @ 10:55 am ET) said it will
buy YURIE SYSTEMS INC (delayed at 31-1/2) for $1 billion in cash,
or $35 a share. Lucent sees the deal completed by the end of the
June 30 quarter. Further details were not immediately available.
