No, it was before the Wired article. I bought at $1.13, and it dropped to .80 within 2 days,and 3 days after that (5 total) was when the Wired article came out. I bought near the top of the "pump", just before the "dump".... Classic neophyte ignorance about the marketplace. I only say this to keep others from getting irrationally exuberant and making the same mistake, as it can be expensive.
