E-Trade is going to be a big winner going foward. I recall the message boards of AOL a year ago full of questions as to whether AOL could continue to exist in the face of low priced servers. Well just look at the stock. What AOL did was to provide better service to the potential customers, not those who do not any assistance, and who were therefore sceptical as to AOL's worth but to the vast majority of the untapped marketplace. It also created alliances to expand their business in the international marketplace. This is exactly what E-trade is doing. The stockmarket bug is now catching on very heavilly in Europe, generally a more conservative group of investors tan in the US. But they are also very conscious of value, and the existance of a relatively, low priced, yet well known vehicle for trading will be extremely attractive to them.
