Interesting (Or Not) Snippet From Reuter's Announcement...

Reuter's press release about a new eurobond information
service popped up yesterday on the Yahoo! SEEK site because
it mentioned the fact Reuter's had been an early investor in
SEEK, VRSN, YHOO and others. Good for Reuter's.

But, here's a snippet from that piece...

**************

Reuters also said it had developed a new system that uses ''push technology'' to deliver its Reuters
Business Briefing information service to corporate customers via the public Internet.

The new service, which lets subscribers get customised information without having to request it
specifically, will be available around mid-year, it said.

**************

Why am I quoting this? Well, it's because it sounds
like a service, "push technology" and all, that SEEK's spin-off
NewsReal would have been (or is) qualified to deliver. Now, NewReal may
not be Europe-ready, yet. But, it just rung a bell with me.

I know, I know, obviously a slow news day when I'm rooting
around in old press releases... even if they're just a day old.

May we enjoy a happy SEEKfestivus today...
