Front page (today's internet edition at least) WSJ on emissions control. EPA to Call for Tougher Controls On Vehicle Emissions by 2004 By JOHN J. FIALKA Staff Reporter of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL "We're being regulated on both sides of the issue." Under pressure from the Clinton administration to curb carbon dioxide that causes global warming, he said, auto makers are turning to more-fuel-efficient diesel engines. The new restrictions on soot particles suggested by the EPA study, he worried, "may preclude the use of diesels." Gee what else is there?
