I'm loving this every second! Sure MO might cause a little heartache, but man oh man, is this a fun fight to be a part of! The MSNBC story was right on the money IMO, and it seems that there is suddenly a backlash against the anti-tobacco people despite their overwhelming media presence. I'm firing off some more letters right now! Let's keep the pressure on, especially now that we've got some surveys and press to back us up, and a mother of a legal victory!

Choo choo!!!

Pennsylvania(today) , Iowa, Illinois, Florida, appeals

Federal Judges and State Supreme Courts(Iowa) throwing
out cases against states. Agreeing with the defendent,
Tobacco.

All, for much the same theme, that
the states have no standing in ... or whatever,
the phrase. blah...blah...blah...

I, suppose, all, see the pattern emerging here.

Yet, unreported, and un analyzed by the media.

Typical, of the myopic and lack of depth in understanding
complex issues.

The next potential atomic bomb is the decision by the
three member Federal Applte court reviewing the
jurisdiction and authority of the FDA.

soon, soon, patience, patience, wait, wait..

I believe the government and class action attorneys are in a catch 22 situation and have no alternative. Should they get what they want many SMALL outfits with no assets will spring up offering generic cigerretttes with no one to sue, and probably no one to tax. You won't be able to locate them for cigerette tax nor will they pay INCOME TAX plus they will be unable to regulate and might even be a threat to the health of the American people since their product will be inferior and unregulated.

I am probably not the first to say this. Any comments?

BTW Penn. judge throws out class action of unions today. It seems that the sentiment of the judicial body is that the lawsuits are weak. What we knew all along that the warning is on the pack for over 30 years.

Also I saw some of the 39,000 documents I don't did NOT see any info that is of major implication. Yes some lawyers destroyed documents as not to harm the industry. The documents are of the nature we already heard and nothing much new. They do not undermine the fact that the warning is on the pack. Furthermore restricting advertisement is a blow for free speach. Destroying client lawyer privelage is also a blow to individual rights. It tears down what this country stands for.

<< Again, the time to buy MO is NOW! >>

Would be nice because I'm long as of today:

I'm looking at it for quite some time (one year or so) already: MO stock price practically going nowhere for more or less one year now, yielding over 4%, and apart from U.S. litigation issues, underlying business is just wonderful.

Maybe another blue-chip no-brainer like AT&T was at around $36 only last summer...

Thomas
