First of all, I am a student of Richard Ney's Conspiracy Theory but not the inventor of it. Ney's Theory was originally based on the NYSE specialist system, as his studies were published in the 60s. I spoke with his secretary one time, and she said that Ney's Theory holds true in the Nasdaq as well. The MM system derived the same principles from the specialist system, but turning an anti-competitive trading system to a competitive trading system. BUT as the links that I gave you via private email shown, MMs violated fair competition by imposing cooperation between themselves. So they are the same animal, so to speak.

So to answer your question, I believe so.
