John,

I think we've all seen enough of the USWest/AIME connection to know that something big is in the wings related to the use of set-top boxes. The fact that they don't have a license agreement as of yet is actually bullish in my mind since I believe I know Wynn Holloway's personality TOO WELL to think he is just planning on giving this technology away.

Those of us who have been long-time(sigh..) MSU followers know the technology is 1st rate despite management not being up to par.

If he ain't licensing it, he must be planning on selling it. And the price won't come cheap. The fact that AIME and USWest are moving forward on deploying their netboxes in Phoenix means that someone NEEDS to lock in rights for this technology. If they don't yet have it, there will be a big push to lock them in before moving forward.

You don't spend big money like USWest is planning without having guarantees that the rug isn't pulled out from under you over something as minor as ownership rights to the equipment.

Thanks for removing that variable from the equation. This may get interesting.

Regards,

Ron
