"McData, a subsidiary of EMC, bought the HP Fibre Channel division (Canada). A number of
Brocade people worked there, but couldn't get the switch finished. McData has now finished the
development. As to what features this switch will offer, or the price point, I don't know. I do expect
that EMC will use this switch, and thus will probably NOT be an OEM candidate for Brocade or
Ancor."

This is news to me. I take it the new switch is more of competitor to the MKII and Silkworm and is not the one described in the datacom article?
