Hi Jan <Questions for Tom> I'm glad to see that Tom is excited about the new "Spiders" as I am. This is tremendous news for PNF types. Until now, individual PNF's lacked one tool in their arsenal and that tool is true diversification. It's just not practical for the individual investor to hold 100 or 200 stocks. Sector mutual funds are out because of the expenses, inability to hedge and inability to set stops. The new spiders will change all that. I called the exchange. The one they are rolling out Monday is the computer hardware spider.
It will trade as "HWI". It will contain 10 stocks (apple, compaq, dell, dec, gateway, ibm, micron, silicon graphics, stratus and sun microsystems). unfortunately, tom was so excited that he didn't answer my questions on the process and liquidity!!

thats ok. whenever he gets a chance. sorry for the typos and lettering. I'm in a hurry.

later

Duke
