I can't get into Ameritrade. I few orders place before the market opened---who knows when I'll hear about the executions.

Hopefully there will be a lot of honest feedback on this thread and those of us who are experiencing problems can figure out which service works best for each of us. I originally got into Ameritrade for the $8 trades and I find that it's more important to receive the timely, accurate notification of trades. As a matter of fact, according to them, one of my buys went through at a fill price of 0 (it closed around 21) I'm not the brightest person on the face of the earth, but I think that is an inaccurate fill price.

I will say this, Ameritrade probably is great for a buy and hold trader. But I often like to buy and sell in the same day and SOMETIMES Ameritrade can handle it, but it's just it can be too unreliable for me. (Not being notified of trades you place at 10:30 until after the market closes---doesn't work for me as a day trader)

Just my opinion and experiences.
