To All, Interesting week.
1. The market seems to have read the Chase and Merrill eps reports for the first time and my puts are doing great, thank you.
2. Not so for IBM. Old Lou the Lucky seems to be able to charm the cobras with nothing but a flute and some very off-key notes.
3. Impala is roaring.
4. Midway Games hit the skids during its seasonal off quarter. EPS growth was still better than that at Gateway, but nobody loves MWY for better or for worse.
5. Micron is up on the news that NEC has just made them even more obsolete than before. I wonder what Micron bulls really think is going to return this co. to profit growth? Or, for that matter, profits? I also wonder when they will learn that the good times of 1992-1996 were the abberation while this is reality for crappy commodity chippies. I know, most bulls only care about TA crapola and fundamentals don't matter. But fundamentals are ALL that matters in the long run. Some goof was on CNBS yesterday saying that MU had a vision for the future. I laughed and immediately thought of one of my favorite Leonard Cohen songs,
"Give me back the Berlin Wall,
Give me Stalin and St. Paul,
I've seen the future
It is murder."
6. The entire market continues to be whackadoo.

Good luck, MB
