To All, Hot poop from Japan. You remember that place we are driving into the ground with our hot technology companies. NEC is delivering sample chips of 128 Mbit DRAM and will begin full production in August. These will be produced at .22 micron. Do you remember when MU was bragging that they had achieved .25 micron for 16 Mbit chips? This sounds better to me. <BG> 600,000 a month in late 1998 and one mill in early 1999.

However, the price is totally out to lunch. $77 is like pricing 16 Mbit SDRAM chips at just under ten bucks. Look for rapid descent here. At that price, the only customer is likely to be NEC pcs. <G>
Most chippies are skipping 128 and going right to 256. MU, meanwhile, will have 64 Mbit figured out any day now. <G>

2. Impala is making my heart beat faster. What a great stock. Thank you, palladium. If platinum ever takes off, too, hello $20. But watch out for the Russkies. They still may have some inventory. I think it's all been stolen by now, but you never know for sure over there. Stillwater has also been doing great, though not today.

3. Chaste Manhattan took a big step toward getting real today. I still can't believe this turkey ran up on that crappy eps report. No wonder these scamsters play the write off trick. Dummies keep falling for it, at least for a little while. Merrill got whacked a bit, too.

Good luck, MB
