My broker tells me the whisper number for ifmx is .03 - .04, so an upside surprise is expected, but slightly less than last qtr would be ok.

Of course I can't tell you where he comes up with that - is it just his office or his firm, or what? Nonetheless, its obvious that the street certainly expects some earnings.

My broker is with Bear Stearns, I'd like to hear what others have heard about the whisper number for this qtr.

yes, if this is a bad q. ifmx will go down and it will damage their recovery unless there is a discrete, explanable reason. they have a lot riding here and i've got to believe they knew that last q. i think this mgt. team has a better handle on how to manage business and expectations.
