Steve, I think you left out a couple of "little" companies, Lucent, and now ITT New Computer Security Software Has Human Touch; Biometrics to Authenticate Computer Users FORT WAYNE, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 1998--ITT Aerospace/Communications Division (ITT A/CD), a unit of ITT Industries' (IIN), and National Registry Inc. (NASDAQ:NRID) have cooperatively developed new computer security software which utilizes unique human characteristics called "biometrics" to authenticate users. Biometrics are those unique human characteristics which cannot be lost, stolen, borrowed or copied. They include voice, fingerprints and facial features. The breakthrough software was developed in support of a new U.S. Government sponsored biometric standard called Human Authentication Application Programming Interface or HA-API.
