I am not all that familiar with it but as it was explained to me a man's erectile function is classified into one of five or six groups from nothing to fully, reliably rigid. If a drug moves a patient's response up one or more notches it is considered a response. A response to a clinician may still be a useless erection to a patient. Apparently this is a standardized system that will be used in reporting results to the FDA in future applications.
