(PR NEWSWIRE) DJ: (CNW) Integral Announces Results Of Independent Testing
DJ: (CNW) Integral Announces Results Of Independent Testing Of Ctha For Use In
Tactical Communications System

MORGANTOWN, W.Va., April 23 /CNW/ -- Integral Technologies, Inc. (OTC
Bulletin Board: ITKG), today announces that its subsidiary Emergent
Technologies Corp. (ETC) has received the results of independent tests
performed recently on the Contrawound Toroidal Helical Antenna (CTHA). The
CTHA is to be utilized in a Tactical Communication System (TCS) being
presented by Geisas Technology Inc. (Geisas) of Millvalley, California.
Under the sponsorship of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP),
Geisas was requested to test and demonstrate the TCS for use by the US Coast
Guard (USCG) and the New York Police Department (NYPD), for the purposes of
transmitting wireless audio and video signals.
On February 20,1998, the Geisas pre-prototype TCS, utilizing Integral's
antenna among others, was tested on board the SS Gem State at the former
Alameda Naval Air Station, with the US Coast Guard observing. The TCS
operated at a frequency of 2.4 GHz, and was comprised of a command console,
an analog transmitter and a repeater. The command console was located
inside the bridge of the 700 foot long SS Gem State.
The CTHA was tested along with others in the link between the forecastle

watertight door and the bridge, which required getting the signal over a 10
foot barrier, across 410 feet of deck with crane structures and shipping
containers, and up seven decks to the bridge. The CTHA showed an excellent
isotrophic signal with little signal degradation at the edges.
Geisas has selected the CTHA as its primary transmitting antenna for the TCS
because of its excellent signal properties both in a 360 degree azimuth and
overhead as well as its compact size.
Mark Williams, President and CEO of Integral stated, "We are grateful to
Geisas for including the CTHA in their TCS system design. The results of
this testing provides further validation as to the unique properties and
capabilities of the CTHA. That is to say, it is omni-directional, ground
plane independent, and able to circumvent barriers which typically
compromise signal integrity when using standard antennas this small in size.
We are pleased that the tests with the US Coast Guard exceeded all
expectations."
Through its subsidiary Emergent Technologies Corp., Integral Technologies,
Inc. provides R&D services and OEM sub-licenses to its Contrawound Toroidal
Helical Antenna technology, a new, patented antenna technology with broad
applicability in the mobile wireless communications industry.
Integral, is a business development company that provides financing and
marketing services for advanced technologies that have passed the initial
research and development stage. ITI identifies market applications,
financing, customers, and final product definition and development for a
variety of new technologies including the CTHA antenna, a plasma ignition
system for automobiles, a 2D counterfeit detection system, and a 3D quality
control system.
