Good info. I'd like to see the IDB article. I wonder if it's on the newsstand? I'll check...

Hank - clarification please

First, I 've noticed that when you refer to Viagra's efficacy you usually claim it is around 70% - 80%.

For example in your post #3505 you wrote:

<<<...That will leave a small number of potential customers given Viagra's 70%-80% efficacy...>>>

This is fine - but do those oft repeated numbers include the 24% placebo effect (noted in the prescribing information) or have you already subtracted it out, as you seem to be advocating now? Is there any way I can figure out when you subtract the placebo effect and when you don't?

Secondly, from reading the Pfizer information, it seems that the reported range of efficacy was actually 60% - 80% for different patient populations and different doses ranging from 25 - 100 mg (with the recommended dose being 50 mg). I was wondering why many people seem to be offering the upper end of that range when discussing it. As noted, you usually refer to 70% to 80%, and I found the following in the Pfizer annual report:

"Before the end of the second quarter, we hope to introduce Viagra. Effective in up to 78 percent of patients in clinical trials, this highly effective treatment will offer a return to normalcy for the more than 100 million men worldwide suffering from ED."

It would seem that this is "stretching" the actual facts a bit, No? I guess it's just normal people just trying to make a point?

Just curious --- Thanks.

Good day for you shorts, Yes? Congratulations.
