Oliver

I don't know for sure but the trade imbalance theory does not sound like it is possible. Look over the past few days KTEL, SEVL etc all took off. I would imagine MAXX would not have any higher of an imbalance than those did. If it does I must say I will be running in tight circles for about 10 minutes.

Trading halt
The temporary suspension of trading in a Nasdaq security, usually for
30 minutes, while material news from the issuer is being
disseminated over the news wires. A trading halt gives all investors
equal opportunity to evaluate news and make buy, sell, or hold
decisions on that basis. A trading halt may also be imposed for
purely regulatory reasons, either by The Nasdaq Stock Market or the
SEC.
