Kathleen, My guess has long been that Russia doesn't have the inventory everyone thinks they have. I think they sold nearly everything that wasn't sold down over the last three years when they were desperate for dollars. And I think that the absence of the gold, platinum, palladium, rhodium, diamonds, and sables (that one may be a stretch. If they have food in Siberia, they will ahve sables) is one of the reason Boris canned his Cabinet. MB
