What numbers? Not that it did one bit of good.. I sold at each resistance poind and bought it back after a break. SO made 2 points out of it instead of 4. Who would have guessed.. Not me for sure. I prefer the less volatile stocks like APM..

STAMFORD, Conn., April 24 (Reuters) - Oil refiner Tosco
Corp. said Friday it expects "better" financial results during
the rest of 1998 after a first quarter that topped analysts'
estimates.
Tosco reported first-quarter net income of $41.5 million or
$0.26 per diluted share on sales of $3.0 billion, compared with
net income of $3.6 million or $0.03 per share on sales of $2.4
billion in the year-ago quarter.
Analysts polled by First Call expected the company to earn
$0.24 per share during its 1998 first quarter.
Tosco said it accelerated scheduled maintenance at its West
Coast refineries into the first quarter, which reduced output.

CBS:

NEW YORK, April 24 (Reuters) - WESCO Distribution Inc. will
be recapitalized in a $1.1 billion transaction that will end
CBS Inc.'s involvement in the company Westinghouse Electric
Corp. founded in 1922, WESCO said Friday.
Company management, with sponsorship from an investor group
led by The Cypress Group, has agreed to purchase the company
from CBS and a fund managed by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice.
Thetransaction involves $400 million of equity and refinancing
of existing debt, according to Cypress spokesman Owen
Blicksilver.
