Steve, RE: I was almost impressed with myself for about 0.68 secondscool - a short straddle : you make money if nothing happens. Thanks. I guess it works out that way but it played out over a month. In early March I sold the puts because of my perception of strength in the stock. In April, their sales figure were good, but down more than I had expected and the general perception(in Taiwan) was of a slowdown so I sold the covered calls. Without doing these I would have lost about 5%.woulda taken me forever to calculate all that, Chris! Perhaps you do not yet understand all the nuisances of the 'use the force' method of investing, <g> no calculations required. In the long run it may be on par with the 'use the dart' method I'm not certain. Nice call on your ASND pizza money. Pedestrian for you but I am terrible at short term moves, darts would be more accurate. With my luck I would be the one on the other side of your trade. <g> I think I need some good Doji JuJu for that kind of stuff. I didn't pay much attention to the Doji JuJu today and I paid the price! <g> The morning DIS rally faded in the afternoon, and from your post yesterday it sounds like bad doji juju will prevail for tomorrow. May the charts be with us. The little FIBR that could. Last year I put some FIBR in my investing diet just after they were slammed in Barrons. I ended up selling it at a slight profit, so I could continue to ride the titanic down. <g> I loosely follow them now, but have not kept close track. How is their Gigamux doing? At least last fall that was their big hope. Was it up 16 channel? As far as me throwing a 100k block around. I would need to rob and armored car first, or win the CA lotto. I've been rooting for you since you posted your trade! chris
