Oh, Did I Bring The "Falling Knife" Virus...?

As I understand, as a point of clarification, you
catch a falling knife with your torso if you're unlucky.

Okay, well, first brutal honesty: I bought SEEK
to round off my holdings today at slightly above
29. So, there you have it. Maybe, from the SHORT-
winded perspective (as opposed to we LONG-winded
sorts), I have brought pain to myself.

Oh, the District was chilly today. No
giggling. No frolicking. Sounds of people exiting.
Somebody got trampled, I'm afraid.

And, now, SEEK announces its earnings. In a matter
of, I guess, moments. Drum roll... please.

SEEK, which, according to an MSNBC "article", is
the ONLY internet company of any size that hasn't had
ANY insider sales this year. None. Can you be really
dumb and an insider, too? Well, of course, you can.
Nobody seems to know if SEEK's insiders might have
had their hands tied because of some sort of restriction
or another in conjunction with their fairly recent SPO.
I asked on my "home" SI thread--or what used to be until
recent ravaging--to a resounding silence.

Now, a final thought for now. I e-mailed SEEK a month and
a half ago URGING them to BUY SI. I wonder if the
Dwyers would have considered the two compatible. Alas,
we shall never know. Oh, what might have been...

Best Regards,

c m

Tom,

For a concise summary of our company, read the Aberdeen Group Profile titled, "DynamicWeb Enterprises: The Outsourcing EC Alternative for the Middle Market."

I will fax you a copy of the Profile now -- it's six pages -- and send a copy along with our press kit via snail mail. The press kit contains company info, product sheets, a list of clients, bios of the exec. management, etc. Send me e-mail with your address and fax.

In short, DynamicWeb Enterprises is an Internet/EDI software and service provider. Our core business is providing EDI outsourcing and Internet-EDI extension solutions. Our EDI services bureau has conducted complete outsourcing services to an impressive client list for more than 15 years.

The company's primary clients are businesses using EDI systems but not achieving 100% compliance with trading partners. We seamlessly augment these EDI sytems with Internet technologies (i.e. we don't make any changes to the client's host EDI system) to either increase efficiencies or expand the systems outreach to smaller trading partners.

These solutions allow companies to maximize EDI compliance among trading partners on both the buy and sell side of the demand chain by enabling non-EDI companies to send and receive business documents via a secure Web site, point-to-point over the Internet or through existing value-added network pipelines.

In addition, DynamicWeb also has a consulting and professional services group that focuses on electronic commerce and Year 2000 solutions. Some of the services provided include the development of EC strategies to the managing of day-to-day implementation tasks such as the mapping and trading partner ramping.

Please call me at 973-244-1000 or e-mail wtaylor@dynamicweb.com if you have any questions or want to receive the additional information I mentioned above.

Sincerely,

William Taylor
Manager of Public Relations

Tom,

Since you have shown an interest and like to "turn over every rock," I thought you might be interested in the following news release.

Sincerely,

BJ Taylor

P.S. -- I'm a novice (and poor) investor and I also subscribe to your method of turning over every rock when looking at a company's stock. It's the only way when you're not a pro or have one working for you.

DYNAMICWEB ENTERPRISES COMPLESTES ACQUISITION OF DESIGN CRAFTING INC. AND ENHANCES EC PROFESSIONAL SERVICES DIVISION

FAIRFIELD, NJ, May 7, 1998 - DynamicWeb Enterprises Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DWEB), an Internet electronic commerce (EC) and electronic data interchange (EDI) company, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Design Crafting Inc. for approximately100,000 shares of DWEB. Design Crafting is an information technology professional services company in the distribution and retail industries. The acquisition, effective May 1, 1998, enhances DynamicWeb's Internet electronic commerce and EDI consulting services by combining Design Crafting's history in providing the distribution and retail industries with software development expertise in applications involving EDI; vendor managed inventories (VMI), sales tracking and inventory management.

"DynamicWeb's acquisition of Design Crafting, a small, privately held, IT professional services firm, is further evidence of an emerging trend in electronic commerce markets," said David Alschuler, Director of Electronic Commerce Research for the Aberdeen Group. "Skilled systems integrations personnel are essential ingredients to success, and EC suppliers are competing actively to build their human resource assets."

DynamicWeb is integrating Design Crafting with its systems integration business creating a professional services group that will focus on electronic commerce, inter-enterprise and Year 2000 solutions -- making DynamicWeb a true EC managed services company.

"Businesses are being confronted simultaneously with the explosion of electronic commerce and the impending Year 2000 issues, the combination of which is overwhelming to most IT departments," said Jim Conners, President and Chief Operating Officer of DynamicWeb Enterprises. "Our customers want us to support them beyond just providing transaction services. This acquisition will position us to respond to their needs faster and more efficiently."

DynamicWeb's professional services will range from the development of EC strategies to the managing of day-to-day implementation tasks such as mapping and trading partner ramping. The services division will be led by Ken Konikowski, DynamicWeb's Executive Vice President and a member of ANSI X12 with fifteen years of EDI consulting and operating experience. Konikowski will report directly to the President and Chief Operating Officer, Jim Conners.

"Since both companies have a focus on the retail and supply-side distribution industries, combining the abilities of service is a perfect match," said Doug Eadie, President of Design Crafting. "The joining of the our companies enables DynamicWeb to compete in the electronic commerce consulting business as well as transaction services."
