Oh now I see, "$14 is possible... maybe as early as Friday", in "spin-speak" translates to "$14 by Friday". In a world where sales equates to swaps, I guess this makes sense, but to those of us in the real world, its a load of garbage. And speaking of predictions, some folks have been predicting longer than others: exchange2000.com

Tony, As I recall, the prediction of $14 by last Friday was made by Nostradamus. See: Nostradamus: Predictions Subject 19366 As to this coming Friday, and the Fridays that may follow (see other predictions of N.), I can only say that I'm currently long and I hope that the stock price goes up. I appreciate your sharing your valuable [edit] opinions and insights about the general trend of Ligand's stock price; although I understand that no one can predict such things with anywhere near absolute consistency and accuracy. (Let me know if you can, and we can work out a deal for you to manage my money - but don't let anyone else know, or you'll be far too busy for me!) Good fortune with your investments, John
